Aaliyah Edwards of Kingston, ON, has been named the 2017 Canadian National U15 Tournament Most Valuable Player, as she helped her Team Ontario U15s win the event’s Gold Medal on July 29, 2017.
Throughout the event, which took place in Regina, SK at the Centre for Kinesiology Health and Sport, Edwards racked up the following impressive numbers over the five games she played:
- 17.4 points per game, on 65% FG pct.
- 8.6 rebounds per game
- 2.4 assists per game
- 2.6 steals per game
- 0.8 blocks per game
Edwards’ tournament performance in the event that started on July 24, was highlighted by a 30-point performance in the semi-final game against Team Saskatchewan. In that game, she shot 11 for 16 and collected 12 rebounds.
