St Francis Phoenix Repeat As Standard Champs

On October 11, 2013, the St Francis Phoenix defeated the Centennial Cougars by a score of 38-25 in the Championship Finals of The Standard Girls High School Basketball Tournament in St Catharines, ON.

The Phoenix were led in scoring by tournament Most Valuable Player, Nancy Kessler, who led all scorers with 24 points. She was also he only player to score in double figures in the low scoring affair.

Also helping to lead the St Francis to this back-to-back title of the tournament hosted by the St Catharine Standard local newspaper, were tournament all-stars Leah Bracken and Christine Sirignano.
