On November 30, 2018, the Dawson Blues defeated the Édouard Montpetit Lynx by a score of 88-51 in regular season CÉGEP league action.

The host Blues, who led from start to finish. They got out of the gate quickly in this one by starting the game on a 13-2 run to open things up, and never trailed at all.

Taisha Exanor led the Blues in scoring, accounting for 15 points as she continues her come back from a knee injury that had her out all of last season. She was efficient in her execution in the game, connecting on 6 of 10 of her shots from the field, including going 2 for 3 behind the 3-Point line.

The Blues balanced their scoring by also having three other players score in double figures, with Mackenzie Ash-Smith contributing 14 and Sorelle Ineza scoring 13. Roxanne Makolo also added 13 of her own while collecting a team high 10 rebounds.

In response for the Lynx, Jennifer Louis was among some of her team’s few bright spots. She had a team high 23 points in the loss while logging heavy minutes in her team’s cause. I’m doing so, she was the sole player on her team to score in double figures, and she also grabbed 10 rebounds and collected 3 steals in the process.

With the win, Dawson maintains a perfect 5-0 record and sit alone on top of the Division 1 standings. The Lynx fell to 2-5, in a 3-way tie for 5th place with Vanier and Trois-Rivières.
