Mide Oriyomi (3.5 stars, 5’11”, G, King’s Christian/Team Ontario) of Hamilton, ON has verbally committed to attend to Northeastern University in Boston, MA.
“I am blessed to announce that I will be continuing my academic/athletic journey at Northeastern University”, announced Oriyomi via social media.
Oriyomi, a top-15 player in the Class of 2019, uses her size and athleticism to move extremely well in any direction and has earned a reputation for being a pesky defender. When looking to stop the ball, she is a great consideration to plug in at the top of a press, will turn over guards in the open court and often draws assignments to shadow opposing scoring threats, often with very good results.
“Before all else, I’d like to thank God for providing me with the strength, wisdom and patience throughout this journey”, she said as she began her acknowledgments. “Next I’d like to thank my parents and brother for the endless love and support.”
Oriyomi will join the Northeastern Huskies of the Colonial Athletic Conference, after completing this, her Senior year at King’s.
