On November 12, 2011, Paige Crozon (6`1″, F, Humboldt CI) from Humboldt, SK, signed a Letter of Intent to attend the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, Utah.

“I`m so excited. It is just a great fit for me”, describes Crozon of her decision.

Crozon, is the type of player that is willing to sacrifice her body in anyway for the greater good of the team. She is an attacking Forward that works well from the perimetter and has an efficient shot. She uses this to her benefit when she is ready to employ a nice jab step or shot fake allowing her to drive to the hole with good execution.

Crozon has represented her province on several occasions having played on her provincial team at the U17 level for the past three years. She also has quite a bit of experience at the international level. This year alone she played on the Canadian Junior Women team that went 8-1 leading to a fifth place finish at the FIBA U19 Worlds in Chile. She also played on the Team Canada`s 3-on-3 FIBA squad in Italy this past September and also on the Senior Pan Am Womens team that played in Mexico.

Despite growing up in the small town of Humboldt, SK, Crozon had always been appreciative of the support of the community.  “I have loved growing up in my CITY of 5,000 people,” she remembers fondly. And, with it being located a couple hundred miles north of the Montana northern border, the winters there added character. “I think the -40 winters made me a bit tougher as well.”

Although she will be attending school south of the border in the PAC-12, she will continue to have Canada on her mind and in her heart. “I would like to play with the junior national team again in the world qualifier this summer. But my ultimate goal is to play with the senior national team that plays in an Olympics.” Afterwards, she envisions a possible pro career in the game she loves.

Crozon joins fellow Canadians Michelle Plouffe and Taryn Wicijowski on the Utah Utes squad.
