Tamara FarquharTamara Farquhar (4-stars, 6’0”, G) of Montreal, QC has committed to attend Purdue University of the Big Ten conference in the Fall of 2017.

Farquhar will bring with her lots of athleticism which she uses quite well keeping up with defenders. Also on the defensive side of the ball, her leaping ability usually affords her a couple of blocks and gives her leverage to do a good job rebounding for someone of her position. On the other end of the floor, the Boilermakers can also expect someone that has a quick burst of speed which enables her to use a very good first step and good speed in the open court.

Farquhar had been sought after by several schools since bursting on to the scene. There was cause for concern when she tore her ACL in the summer of 2014, but she has appeared to have bounced back to pre-injury form, and then some.

Prior to making the commitment to Purdue, Farquhar had made it known that she had narrowed her list down to her top 3, which also included TCU and Michigan State.

After making known that she was aiming to make her decision prior to her upcoming season with Dawson, she is now free to focus on helping the highly favoured Bluehounds to a Quebec Division 1 and on to a national title in this her final season at the Montreal school.
