Brianna Thomas has earned the nod as a Elite32 Summer Jam I Tournament Standout for her play in the July 26-28, 2011 tournament. The All-Star award was given to her based on her play with A Game Canada during their run to a consolation victory.

The 5’9″ Guard/Forward out of Ajax, Ontario, who plays her high school basketball for Notre Dame (also in Ajax), is having a breakout summer going into her Senior year. The 2012 classman was sidelined a lot of last year with a knee injury and maybe only now showing up on many people’s radar screen. And, with great showings like her play down in Augusta, Georgia and a full recovery, she appears ready to continue to make a name for herself.

The Elite32 Summer Jam I is an invitational tournament put on by Peach State Hoops, that pits some of the top U.S. travel teams in a three day, season ending showdown. The two A-Game entries (A Game Canada and A Game T-Dot) in this year’s tournament became the first ever Canadian squads to be included in this competition. Brianna’s selection was one of the 10 selected players from the 32 competing teams, as selected by tournament officials.
