Nevaeh Ferrara Horne (6’1”, F) of Regina, SK has committed to play at the University of North Dakota later on this Fall.

Ferrara Horne made the jump from Regina to London, ON for her Senior prep year to play with Southwest Academy, who finished fourth in Division 1 earlier this Spring. There, Ferrara Horne showed steady improvement in her game as the season progressed. Along with her growing confidence, she honed her skill as a face up Wing/Forward. She shot the ball well from long range this past season and was wise in selecting when to drive. Her wise decision making often showed at the end of those drives when determining whether to pass or go for self and also shone when she needed to take care of the ball when it was in her possession.

The Regina native is a part of a pair of Canadians that will be joining the incoming UND Women’s basketball Freshman Class. She will be joining Kiera Pemberton of British Columbia, who signed in this past November.

The University of North Dakota Fighting Hawks play in the Summit League Conference of the NCAA and finished with a 19-13 overall record.
