Nadege Pluviose (3.5-stars, W/F, Montmorency, 2016) of Montreal, QC has committed to play at NCAA’s Robert Morris University in Moon Township, PA.

Pluviose is a strong Forward/Wing. Standing at just 5’11”, she is a bit undersized, but she has the ability to do a number of different things well, making her a good fit for the Colonials in NCAA’s Northeast Conference. Pluviose has the ability to shoot the three at a high rate, as well as Post up like sized defenders with a decent back to the basket game. Put that together with a hustle mentality on defence and and it is plain to see that the Colonials did well in landing the Montrealer.

Pluviose, who was previously with the St Laurent Express, will be graduating from Montmorency, a CÉGEP school located in Laval, QC, which is just north of Montreal. There she was instrumental in the Nomades’ two back-to-back National Championships in 2014 and 2015. This past Spring, despite the Nomades finishing in first place during the regular season, they came up short in the Quebec provincial finals. Pluviose finished the regular season with several good looking hustle stats including 6.9 rebounds and 2.1 steals per game, within the 17 games she played.

The latest recruit will be joining two other Canadians on the Colonials (Megan Smith an Mikayla Mulrain, both from Ontario). In their most recent season, they finished their regular season tied for third, but managed to outlast top seeded Sacred Heart in order to win the Northeast Conference Tournament Championship. The win qualified them for the NCAA tournament for the second time in three seasons. In the big tourney, they would succumb to the eventual tournament champions, the UCONN Huskies, in the first round.
