Team Quebec Reigns Supreme At U15 2016 Canadian Nationals

On July 30, 2016, Team Quebec defeated Team British Columbia by a score of 61-48 and claimed the Canadian Nationals taking place on Regina, SK.

Donna Ntambue of Montreal, QC led her team in scoring with 25 points. She also added 9 rebounds to go along with 7 steals in being a major factor in securing the win.

Also in the win, the Quebecers were also successful based on the performance of Kenya Cote-Lysius, who scored 12 points and collected 6 rebounds.

For Team British Columbia, Deanna Tuchscherer led the charge going 6 for 10 from the field and scoring 15 points. Kennedy Dickie scored 13 points and added 11 rebounds and Madison Gobeil scored 10 in the losing cause.

To go along with Team Quebec’s Gold and Team BC’s Silver medals, Team Ontario squeezed by Team Manitoba by a score of 39-37 in order to claim Bronze.

Ntambue was ultimately named Tournament MVP averaging 16.2 points and 7.6 rebounds over the 5 games she played.
