Tops in 2016 Class Konig Commits To NC State
On June 6, 2015 Aislinn Konig (5-stars, 5’9″, PG, Brookswood/BC Elite, 2016) announced via Twitter that she has given her verbal commitment to attend North Carolina State University of the ACC (Atlantic Coast Conference).
Konig, the number one Canadian prospect in the Class of 2016, will join the NCAA Division 1 Wolfpack next Fall, bringing with her a strong work ethic that has yielded a great shooters touch from just about anywhere on the floor. She has a tremendous understanding of the game, essential at the point position and has a knack for knowing just where the ball needs to be in order to make her teammates successful.
Her elite pedigree includes a Grade 9 stint at Vancouver, WA’s Prairie High school, before settling on Langley, BC and attending Brookswood for Grades 10 and 11. With her her current Brookswood Bobcats, she has been making headlines with her play and won back to back BC AAA Championships and MVP awards at the high school level. She has also been making a lot of noise on the travel circuit as well, playing with the BC Elite travel team, winning numerous tournaments.
Before indicating that she would be ultimately selecting the Raleigh, NC school, Stanford, Washington, Oregon, Louisville, Vanderbilt and Kansas were all on her short list.
