Vollett Commits To Cardinal

Frances Vollett (6’0″, F, Lincoln Prep, 2027) of Brantford, ON has verbally committed to attend Stanford University in Stanford, CA, of NCAA’s Atlantic Coast Conference.

Vollett is a forward who runs the floor well and is unselfish with the ball. Her decision-making and her ability to work from the perimeter and out of the high post, made her a standout throughout her prep years.

She has proven herself on the international stage. At the FIBA U17 Women’s Basketball World Cup in Brno, Czechia this July. Vollett averaged 12.3 points (tied for the team high), 7.1 rebounds and 0.9 steals, and she led Canada in efficiency as the team finished fourth overall. A year earlier, she helped Canada to silver at the FIBA U16 Women’s AmeriCup in Irapuato, Mexico.

This past summer, as she has in previous years, Vollett played her AAU ball with Kia Nurse Elite on the Nike EYBL circuit.

She joins Jordyn Wheeler, who is a freshman for the Cardinal this season.
