Basketball Canada Announces the 2019 U16 Team

Canada Basketball has announced the roster of players that have been selected to the FIBA U16 Women’s Americas Championship 2019 Canadian Team.

“We are excited to travel to Chile and the FIBA U16 Women’s Americas Championship with this group of athletes,” said Head Coach Cheryl Jean-Paul, of the team that will play in the event taking place June 16-22, 2019.

“They have demonstrated a willingness to pursue excellence and have shown tremendous improvement every time we get the opportunity to train with them.”

This year’s Canadian squad have been placed in Group A with Brazil, Ecuador and Puerto Rico.

The top-four teams from this year’s FIBA America’s event will qualify to participate at the FIBA U17 Women’s Basketball World Cup 2020.
