Canadian U18 Women 3×3 Results

Canadian U18 Women’s team finished Fourth in their Pool, Fourteenth overall, in the 2012 FIBA 3×3 World Championship in Spain with a 2-3 record.

This year’s annual Championship event ran from September 28-30 in Madrid, Spain. The selected Canadian team, made up of Kia Nurse, Shay Colley, Saicha Grant-Allen and Sam Cooper dropped two close opening games to Romania and England before picking up a win over Andorra on Day 1 of the competition.

On Day 2 of the competition, the Canadians were awarded a default victory over the Tunisians who pulled out of the tournament, before dropping the fifth and final game to the eventual Bronze medalists from Australia.

The 24 team event, with teams from all over the globe, saw the Americans claim Gold, Spain take Silver and the aforementioned Aussies, take Bronze.
