Couturier Scores 23 For Géants in Finals

Kayla Couturier of the Saint-Jean-Sur-Richelieu Géants scored 23 points in the Cégep finals against Champlain Saint-Lambert Cavaliers on March 3, 2024.

Couturier led all scorers in the game while shooting 7-for-14 from the field although her team dropped a 70-64. From the free-throw line, she went a very respectable 7-for-8 to help keep things as close as possible on the scoreboard. She ended up playing just about the complete game in the process, fouling out in the dying seconds of the game, proving just how valuable she was to the Géants. To add to her stats, Couturier collected 10 rebounds and had 4 steals.

Despite the loss, Couturier and les Géants still qualify to participate in the CCAA National Championships taking place later this month in Lloydminster, AB.
