Dut To Call Gainsville, FL Home Next Fall

Faith Dut (6’2”, F, Semiamhoo/BC United, 2019) of Surrey, BC, has committed to attend Florida University and play in the Southeastern Conference (SEC) next Fall.

Despite garnering lots of interest playing her Fall and Spring ball with her BC United Travel team, Dut spent the majority this summer the way she did in the late Spring the year before, with the Canadian National Women’s Team. This summer, she was the U17 squad that participated in Belarus. There, she made her mark defensively, using her massive wingspan and earning at least one block in each of the games in which she played.

Dut rounded out her summer playing with Team British Columbia U17s in August, in Fredricton, NB at the Canadian Nationals. Her efforts helped her team earn a Bronze Medal.

Besides receiving interest from Florida, she had also strongly considered interest from Washington, Iowa State, Oklahoma and North Carolina.
