Fournier And Swords Invited To JBC

Toby Fournier and Syla Swords have both been named to the 2024 Jordan Brand Classic (JBC), this year set to take place at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY on April 21, 2024.

Swords, who recently committed to the University of Michigan, has been playing with the Long Island Lutheran Crusaders since the Fall of 2022, has helped her school to their 5th State Championship. She is again helping them make a run hoping to add a sixth by the end of the March.

Fournier, has just helped her Crestwood Lions out of Toronto, ON, repeat as provincial prep champions with an emphatic 39-point win in the Finals. Among the accolades the Forward had also collected, she has recently added a league MVP and Defensive Player of the Year for this past season to her résumé.

The selection of these players, who also played on last summer’s Kia Nurse EYBL U17 team to play in the April 21, 2024 marquee all-star game, follows in the footsteps of last year’s Canadian selection of Cassandre Prosper of Montreal, QC, who played her prep ball with Capital Courts Academy in Ottawa, ON.
