Hamilton Transway JUEL Prep Back-To-Back Champs

On May 13, 2018 Hamilton Transway defeated the Sudbury Jam by a score of 80-67 to win the 2018 JUEL Prep Championship, held in Windsor, ON.

Transway used the long ball throughout the game, connecting on 14 3-pointers en route to the victory.

Leading their 3-point attack was Kirsten McGrath, who nailed 4 of them as part of her team leading 18 points for the Gold Medal winners.

Other key scoring contributors for Transway included Amy Stinson with 13 points, Trudi Vaughan with 12 points and Nina Kokic with 11.

For Sudbury, Emilie Lafond was a handful inside for Transway to defend. She led the Jam with 20 points, including 12 in the second half. Delaney Bourget also had double figures for the Silver Medalists with three 3-pointers and a total of 11 points.

With the win Hamilton Transway becomes the first JUEL Prep Team to win back to back Championships.
