Sumer Lee and Toby Fournier were each named to the La Jolla Country Day Sweet 16 Invitational Tournament, All-Tournament Team on December 4.

The tournament that took place between December 1-4 that took place in San Diego, CA, saw the Crestwood Lions as the lone Canadian representatives in the 16 team field competition. They made it all the way to the finals, but in the Championship game, the Lions fell to hosts La Jolla, by a score of 67-61.

Prior to the finals, Crestwood sported a clean 3-0 record. They beat Valley Vista 64-55 in the opening round, then went on to beat Highlands Ranch 67-49. In the event semis, they beat Spring Valley 56-46 before their matchup with La Jolla as the final test.

La Jolla Torreys standout Breya Cunningham earned tournament MVP honours. Jada Williams and Tajianna Roberts also of the San Diego area school, were recognized for their efforts receiving nods to the All-Tournament Team.

While Sophomore Fournier, has continued to turn heads with her dunks going viral on social media, Lee is quietly going about her business through very solid, improved gameplay.

Lee, who was pretty much flying under the radar prior to this summer, has been attracting a more and more attention from perspective universities hoping to land the Guard for play at the next level.
