Prawl Canadian Nationals U17 MVP

On August 7, 2022, Deniya Prawl was named Tournament MVP of the U17 Canadian Nationals that took place from August 1-7.

Prawl was awarded the honour after leading her Team Ontario to a Gold Medal in the 9-team Championship taking place in Sherbrooke, QC.

Prawl had many notable performances in the games she played in throughout the event, including scoring 15 points and adding 4 steals in 18 minutes in her game against Team Saskatchewan and scoring 21 points, collecting 6 rebounds and adding 4 steals in 25 minutes of play against Team Nova Scotia. She may have been saving her best game for last as she scored 25 points, collected 11 rebounds and adding 4 steals in the Gold Medal Game against Team British Columbia.

Being named as the Tournament MVP for Team Ontario says a lot about the play of this 15 year old. In winning the Championship, her squad went undefeated over the seven games they played in the event, and won by an average margin of victory of more than 50 points over that span.
