Radar Worthy: Hannah Riddick
Hannah Riddick’s (3.5-stars, 5’11”, G, 2021) game has grown a lot this past season with her Capital Courts prep team.
Proving she was all in with basketball, she made the 3,000+km journey from Calgary, AB to attend the Ottawa, ON prep school. And, from the outside looking in, it appears as though this Junior has made the right decision and has grown her game with a ton of confidence this past season.
While some of the confidence has likely come from becoming more familiar with her new teammates, understanding what her new coaches are expecting of her and getting used to the style of play in a different league, it appears as though her improved skill has allowed her to get over the hump of realizing that she more than belonged on the OSBA stage.
Among other things, that confidence produced intensity on both ends of the floor whether rebounding, diving for loose balls and by being a ‘pain in the butt’ defender that can turn her opponents over. Her confidence also has her attacking the basket more as well as the year went on and yielded very good results on finishes around the basket.
While there is still some upside yet with her taking care oft he ball and minimizing turnovers, she is without question worthy of being in the radar.
