Swords Named U15 Canadian Nationals MVP

Savannah Swords of Sudbury, ON was named Tournament MVP at the 2022 U15 Canadian Nationals that took place in Sherbrooke, QC.

Swords led her Team Ontario squad to a Gold Medal and undefeated record throughout the event. The 6’2” Forward averaged a double double over the five games her team played with 12.8 points and 10.6 rebounds each per game.

She also showed her versatility first with her unselfishness by dishing out 3.2 assists per game throughout the event and adding a monster 5 steal game in Team Ontario’s opener against Team British Columbia.

The U15 age category from the National Championships took place from August 1-7, and featured 10 teams, each representing their province. While Team Ontario collected the Gold Medal in the U15 age category, Team Nova Scotia earned the Silver Medal, and Team Quebec won Bronze.
