The Hamilton Transway JUEL Prep (U16) Team went 4-0 en route to claiming the 2021 Tournoi Express-Cadette Division that took place in Montreal, QC during the weekend of November 6-7, 2021.

In the tournament’s championship game, Transway ran away with the title win in convincing fashion, with a 110-54 win over Seminaire Saint-Francois CF.

The lob-sided win in the Championship game was indicative of just how dominant this Transway team was throughout the event.

They looked in mid-season form even though the event was intended to be a very early tune-up to their rep season that is to start in the new year.

The following are the results of their other games in the event, prior to claiming the Championship title:
Game 1 102-15 win over Nobel
Game 2 115-18 win over Gerard-Fillion
Game 3 84-38 semi-final win over St Laurent #1

With very impressive showing that they put on during this event, this Transway unit will be especially tough to beat the rest of their season. There are very few holes on the roster. Defensively, they trap very well. They play quickly in transition with each player being very unselfish with the ball and proving they have several players that can all shoot beyond the arc,

In the Final, Transway had seven players connect on a 3-pointer, but were led in scoring by Keira Daly, who scored 24 point and received 15 points apiece from Nicole Daly and Kaylen Sta. Maria.

Seminaire Saint-Francois CF’s Florence Dorval led her team with 16 points in her team’s Silver medal performance, including two 3-pointers.
