Arizona Sun Devils Sign Quinn Dornstauder For This Fall
Quinn Dornstauder (6’3″, P, Leboldus HS, 2013) of Regina SK, is headed to Arizona State University to play for the Sun Devils this Fall.
Dornstauder, of Regina, SK, has signed her Letter of Intent to play with the PAC-12 team. In doing so, she will join fellow Canadian, Isidora Purkovic of Calgary, AB, who was a Freshman there this past season.
The 6’3″ Post and her wiry length, boasts a very good reach to her advantage and a soft touch around the glass. Last summer, she earned herself a spot on the Canadian Cadette National team that placed Third at the 2012 FIBA World Championships, earning themselves their first ever Bronze Medal finish.
“We are thrilled to have found such a talented and skilled post player who not only gives us a tremendous defensive presence in the paint, but also has the versatility to play inside or outside,” said Arizona State Women’s Head Coach, Charli Turner Thorne via press release. “We are very impressed with Quinn’s talents, exceptional focus and work ethic on and off the court. We are confident she will have a great impact on our program.”
After also representing her province by playing on Team Saskatchewan several times at the provincial level, Dornstauder recently ended her high school career helping to guide the Leboldus Suns to a 2013, Hoopla 5A provincial high school title. In the process, they snapped rivals Holy Cross Crusaders’ 84-game winning streak in that provincial Final.
