Prawl To Play In SEC Next Year
Deniya Prawl (6’1”, W, 2025), of Toronto, ON has committed to attend the University of Tennessee next Fall.
Prawl, who attended Fort Erie International Academy in the 2022-2023 season, took things to a whole other level when she decided to switch things up and attend IMG Academy in Bradenton, FL. What remained in her toolkit was good handles to go along with her slender 6’1” build, and her ability to score at different levels. She is quite agile and uses that nimbleness to find a variety of ways to get to the basket. She can also get her shot off the dribble after getting defenders off balance, and is not stranger to shooting the three.
After playing on B1CE during the Spring NCAA viewing periods on the Under Armour GUAA circuit and representing her country on the Canadian National U17 Women’s team, earning a Silver Medal this past July, she had begun the process of narrowing her choice of schools. At that time she had listed her top 8 targeted schools, and recently announced that list had shrunken further to just 3, being Baylor and Notre Dame along with her eventual choice, Tennessee.
