Becker To Make Salt Lake City Home in 2018
Nyah Becker (4-stars, 6’1″, Vincent Massey HS/Team Manitoba, 2018) of Winnipeg, MB has committed to attend the University of Utah in the PAC-12 conference of the NCAA.
In Becker, the Utes have acquired a 6’1″ player with long limbs that has the ability to turnover her opponents in bunches with her reach. She is very nimble with her length and has a good first step. In her time at the Salt Lake City, UT school, she’ll demonstrate that she has a decent pull-up and is a quite accurate from the short corner and from behind the 3-point line. She is very coachable, so the sky is the limit on just how well she could eventually be.
Last summer, Becker earned herself a spot on the Canadian National U18 team that played in the U17 World Championships in Zaragoza, Spain. She completed her summer by playing for Team Manitoba U17s that attended the Nike Tournament of Champions in Chicago, IL and the Canadian Nationals that took place at the end of July in Regina, SK.
Earlier this Spring, Becker took her Vincent Massey Trojans high school team, to a MHSAA (Manitoba high school) AAAA Provincial Silver Medal.
