Canadian U19 Junior Women Roster Named



From July 21 – July 31, 2011, the Canadian U19 Junior Women will take on the world’s best in the 2011 FIBA U19 World Championship for Women taking place in Puerto Montt, Chile. Canada will see opening round opponents from China, Italy and Egypt as each make up Group A.
Canada’s qualification marks the fouth consecutive time the Junior women will be competing at this level, the last time falling just short in the Bronze Medal round in a loss to Argentina. With that loss, it earned them a fouth place finish, which so happened to be their highest finish ever.
