Capital Courts Retools For Next Season

Capital Courts Academy has announced four new additions to their team that will be set to join them for this upcoming season.

The Ottawa based Ontario Scholastic Basketball Association (OSBA) prep school have retooled for the upcoming season with the addition of Catrina Garvey, Jessica Wangolo, Emma Gabriel and Achol Akot.

Garvey (5’7”, G, 2023) and Wangolo (5’7”, PG, 2023) join Capital Courts as they take the next step from the Grade 9 CCA Development Stream. The two also played for Ottawa Elite JUEL Prep to gain some recent in-game experience. Gabriel (5’11”, G, 2023) has been labeled by the school as their hidden gem, who joins them having played for the Prescott Russell Rocket club team. Rounding out the group, and joining them for her Junior year is Akot (6’1”, G, 2022). She making the transfer from Canada Top Flight Academy, an independent prep school also from the Ottawa area.

These four replace CCA’s graduating Seniors, Merissah Russell, Cassie Jolie-Cœur, Rachel Neumann and Isabella Gaudet.
