Dawkins Verbals Cyclones

Shantavia Dawkins (5’9”, G, 2022) of Brampton, ON has committed to attend Iowa State University in Ames, IA for the Fall of 2022.

The Big 12 Conference school secures the services of a Guard that can get hot behind the 3-point line and that has been adding a number of ways get to the hole from the perimeter. Her handle had shown quite a bit of improvement over the past 12-18 months. If it was added to a tick or two more in the speed department with the ball and become a bit more of a nuisance on D, she could come out of the gate and make an impact for the Cyclones.

This past summer, Dawkins played with Kia Nurse in EYBL, and is set to return for her Senior year to Southwest Academy, a prep school in London, ON.
