Micah Dennis (5’8″, PG, Capital Courts/KN Elite) of Toronto, ON has committed to attend Oklahoma State University for the Fall of 2019.

Since switching schools and attending Capital Courts Prep, Dennis has seen a marked rise in her stock as a player. The switch made in her Senior year this past September from her Ottawa, some 3.5 hours away from her Toronto home, appears to have made a world of difference in with not only the development she has made on the court, but with her confidence as well.

In a season that essentially restored her trajectory as one of the top players in the Canadian Class of 2019, connecting with 5-star 2020 prospect Merissah Russell has been good for both players. Russell has been freed up to play more off the ball, with an elite caliber Point Guard, while Dennis appears to have gelled well with Russell enabling Dennis to become not only an assist machine, but to play at a speed and tempo that allowed her gifts to be on display, further allowing her to show all that she is capable of.

The result of the Capital Courts changed led to a second place finish by the team, that made it all the way to the OSBA Championship Final, where they fell just short in their game against Crestwood Prep. Dennis’ effort throughout the season earned her the nod as OSBA Player of the year, and a selection to the Biosteel All-Star Game late last month.

The late commitment to play with the OK Ste Cowgirls who play in NCAA’s Big 12 Conference, comes after her last NCAA Viewing Period event playing with KN Elite at the Boo Williams Tournament in Virginia.
