Nyamouch TenyNyamuoch Teny (3-star, 5’9″, G, Grand River/ Tri County, 2016) of Kitchener, ON has committed to attend the University of Vermont of NCAA’s America East Conference in the Fall of 2016.

Teny has a lean build that has recently begun to start filling out and has a good mid-range shooting ability if left open. This past JUEL rep season, there had been signs of an improving dribble that had allowed her to knife through defenses on her way to finding some success around the basket.

Through press release, the 2015 Team Ontario Gold Medalist from this summer’s Canadian Nationals, demonstrated her intention to make an impact early with the Catamounts.

“I chose Vermont because I know I can make an impact and contribute right away,” said Teny.

Teny’s announcement comes on the heels of the Vermont’s recent recruiting push into Canada. The Burlington, VT school has four Canadian Freshmen this upcoming season, including two of Teny’s former teammates in the twins, Candice and Courtney Wright.

“Their coaching staff is amazing and it’s not every day that you get to play university ball with former teammates.”
