Radar Worthy: Aicha Dia

Aicha Dia (4-stars, 5’10”, W, 2022) was this year’s CÉGEP Rookie of the Year, and with good reason.

Since joining the Dawson Blues Dia’s game has matured. Just a year ago, her play relied primarily on her physical and athletic attributes, where she was able to perform quite well. Add now a much more developed understanding of the game and improved skill set.

Having worked this past season with the Blues with a knowledgeable coaching staff and a team of players that make up many of Québec’s basketball elite, the results have been quite promising. Add to the mix that there was an abundance of playing time on a team that was short handed due to injury and otherwise, and the table was set for her to excel which she did.

With the confidence and the experience of this past year under her belt, keep her on your radar for big things to come.
