Radar Worthy: Maya Chocano

After starting her school year with Caledon Basketball Academy, Maya Chocano of Caledon, ON has recently made the switch over to Markham Prep. Along with the move from the OSBA league’s Pool B up to Pool A, she will become much less of the focal point of her team’s fortunes, while seeing stiffer competition Game in and game out.

Chocano’s seemingly calculated and even keeled demeanour on the court, often seems to portray an aire of focusing on handling her business. The slashing Guard/Small Forward role that she plays, suits her quite well as she makes the most of her length and smooth shooting touch.

It will be interesting to see how she adjusts to the change as the season wears on, but her unselfishness with the ball should make the transition quite a smooth one.

This Senior should not be overlooked from the Wing spot.
