Talia Sireni (5’9″, G, VK Basketball) of Surrey, BC has committed to attend San Diego State University for the Fall of 2019.

“We are thrilled to add Talia to our incoming class,” SDSU Aztec Coach, Stacie Terry said via the University’s press release.

Terry went on to say, “She is a tough versatile player who can score in a variety of ways. More importantly, she has a great work ethic and does things the right way. She’s been overlooked and we believe we found a diamond in the rough.”

Sireni made her decision to commit to the Mountain West Conference school after a visit she made in April. There, she said the campus gave her the right vibes to chase her academic dreams and the connection she made with the Coaching staff would help her to do the same same on the court.

“I chose San Diego State because the coaching staff and academic advisers are caring, knowledgeable and want to help me succeed and accomplish my goals,” Sireni said. “The facilities are inspiring, and the team and coaches make me feel at home.”

Sireni will finish out her Senior year at Earl Marriott SS in Surrey, BC where she is ok her school’s track team and is an honour roll student.
