Summer Pahl (’18) Makes Surprising Early Verbal

Summer Pahl (5’10”, G, St. Mary’s/ Tri-County, 2018) of Kitchener, ON had given her verbal commitment to the University of Vermont.

“I attended the Vermont summer skills camp last August and fell in love with everything — the town, the campus, and the coaching staff,” Pahl said via press release about the Burlington, VT school.

“It was a very welcoming town and felt like home to me. The university is well respected academically and has the program that I was looking for.”

The 3.5-star player’s Tricounty rep team Head Coach, Allan Bush, commented on the Catamounts’ Coaches’ feelings on landing a player of Pahl status.

“Vermont loves her style of play, which their coaching staff feels is perfect for NCAA Division 1, and they also love her commitment to get better”, injected Bush. 

With her Tricounty Thunder team, Pahl captured a JUEL Prep Bronze Medal with Tricounty earlier this month playing. This past High school season, she was a first-team District 8 Junior Girls’ all-star as St. Mary’s Kitchener finished in 2nd place in league play during the regular-season.
