Twelve Team Canada U19 Hopefuls To Meet In Orangeville

On March 22, 2019 Canada Basketball revealed their list of 12 athletes invited to attend the U19 Age Group Assessment Camp taking place at the Athlete’s Institute in Orangeville, ON from March 26-28.

The athletes born in the year 2000 or later, will attend the camp as a part of the ongoing selection process for the team participating in this summer’s FIBA U19 Women’s Basketball World Cup. This year’s event will be taking place in Bangkok, Thailand July 20-28.

“I’m looking forward to another successful training camp as we prepare for the FIBA U19 Women’s Basketball World Cup 2019 this summer,” said head coach Claire Meadows, who also coaches at the University of Saskatchewan.

“It is always an honour to work with and prepare our top athletes for the international stage.”
