Whyte Drops 39 Points In JUEL Playoffs

On May 5, 2012, Dakota Whyte (5’8″, G, Notre Dame, 2012) scored a game high 39 points for her Advantage Titans, in a loosing  86-78 effort against the London Ramblers in JUEL playoff action.

Whyte found ways to score inside and out, connecting on five 3-pointers, while causing havoc for the Ramblers’ defense who sent her to the line 10 times, where she hit 7 Free-Throws.

An impressive 22 of Whyte’s points came in the First Half.

The 9th ranked Titans who were pitted up against the top ranked, undefeated Ramblers in Pool A.  With both teams already having won their previous game, and only the winner if this and the three other Pools advancing to the Semi-Finals, the playoff game was a must win game for both teams.

London was led in scoring by Mackenzie Puklicz (5’8″, G/F, Thomas Aquinas, 2013) who put up 15 points and Saginaw Valley State University commit Katelyn Carriere (5’8″, G, Pope John Paul, 2012) who netted 12.

The JUEL Rep League wraps up play on May 6, 2012 with the crowning of their second season’s champion in Waterloo, Ontario.
