Dawson Blues Win 2016 CEGEP Bronze

On March 6, 2016, Tamara Farquhar scored 16 points, leading the Dawson Blues to a 71-54 bronze medal win over the Trois-Rivieres Diablos.

The game, which took place in Gatineau, QC, saw the fourth ranked Blues start the game on a 9-0 run. The lead would eventually climbed to 25-11 partway through the second quarter, before settling at a 33-25 halftime score.

Dawson was led in the first half by Robertha Charles, who scored 10 of her 14 points in the game, in the first half.

It was a lead that Trois-Rivieres would not over come, despite a strong effort from Point Guard, Carrie-Ann Auger. Auger connected on four 3-pointers and scored a game high 21 points in the losing effort for the Diablos, who entered the playoffs as the third seed.

Farquhar and Auger were eventually named players of the game for their respective teams after the contest was completed.
