Halle Bovell Commits to Duquesne for 2016

Halle Bovell (3.5-star, 5’10”, W, Hamilton Transway/St Mary’s, 2016) of Hamilton, ON signed her letter of intent to attend Duquesne University of the NCAA, A-10 Conference.

The Dukes, of Pittsburgh, PA have acquired a hustle player in Bovell. Her greatest attribute is undoubtedly her athleticism. As a defender, she has the ability to keep up with just about any opponent from a speed and/or toughness point of view. As a rebounder she has good length and above average leaping ability and uses it on both ends of the floor, corralling rebounds and out letting to start the break, as well as giving her team second game opportunities.

This past summer Bovell was named the Canadian Nationals MVP in helping to lead Team Ontario to a National Championship and later on this month, will be looking for her fourth straight Ontario High school (OFSAA) basketball championship title with the St Mary’s Crusaders.

Bovell also competes as a high school Track and Field sprinter in the Spring and was a member of last year’s school Touch Football team.
