Hylton Commits to Final Four Runner-Ups

Lemyah Hylton of Mississauga, ON has committed to attend the University of Arizona, to play with the Wildcats beginning in the Fall of 2022.

Since her days with the Mississauga Monarchs back in her Grade 7-8 years, her athleticism has always been on display. But, her speed, strength and a good work ethic had been coupled alongside further development of with her ball skills since she was a Freshman at Southwest Academy, transforming her into the top prospect she has become. All of this, leading up to the great opportunity she has accepted with Arizona.

The verbal commitment to the PAC-12 Conference school, comes on the heels of the Wildcats’ successful season last year, where they finished as Final Four Runner-ups to 2021’s March Madness. After a bold run leading up to the Championship game they came up just short, falling 53-54 in dramatic fashion to Stanford. Throughout that run, fellow Canadian and then Senior, Shaina Pellington, featured prominently in a role Hylton would certainly aspire to be in when given the opportunity. Expectations remain high for a repeated run at the Tucson, AZ school, which no doubt impacted Hylton’s decision.

Beside Arizona, the future Communications Major’s short list included Michigan, Alabama, North Carolina and Maryland.
