Koabel Announces ‘22 ACC Commitment

Emma Koabel (5’10”, G) of Port Colborne, ON has verbally committed to attend Duke University and play for the Blue Devils. 

With the commitment, Koabel will play in the NCAA’s ACC Conference (Atlantic Coast Conference), beginning in the Fall of 2022. 

Koabel is a lights out shooter from beyond the arc, and tends to have a great feel for the game. She is a good decision-maker with the ball and although she is very offensive minded and can score in bunches, her play rarely comes off as though she is forcing to get points on the board. Her patience will do her well at the next level, as well as her even keeled demeanour. 

As a high school Junior and one of the top recruits in the Canadian Class of 2022, she continues to attend Niagara Prep and played this past Spring with the NGBA Warriors in the JUEL League and during the Summer of 2019, she played with Canada Elite in the Under Armour Circuit.
