Masikewich Is PAC-12 Bound
Brynn Masikewich (6’2”, F , Lincoln Prep, 2019) of Calgary, AB has verbally committed to become a Bruin with UCLA (University of California-Los Angeles) next Fall.
Never let your failures get to your heart and never let your success get to your head, said Masikewich via social media.
“Blessed to say I committed to UCLA”.
Having played at Lincoln Prep last year (some 3,100KMs or roughly 2,000 miles) away from home, Masikewich would be no stranger when she makes the trek to Los Angeles, CA (2,400KMs or 1,500 miles), in order to play in NCAA’s PAC-12 conference.
No matter the distance, one quick glance at Masikewich‘s game, and it is easy to tell that she has a bright future ahead of her. A long and lean 6’2” player, she can run the floor quite well, and burn opponents at all three levels of the offensive floor with a good post up ability, a good mid range jumper, and the ability to shoot the 3-pointer. On defence, she does have some shot blocking ability and is a good on ball defender.
Masikewich played much of her summer ball this past season with Team Canada U17 national squad in Minsk, Belarus. There she averaged 5.3points/game, as the Canadians finished 9th overall at the FIBA World Championship event.
Masikewich has returned to complete her Senior season at Lincoln Prep. There she will look to help Lincoln Prep 3-peat, and claim the OSBA (Ontario) Prep title all three years of the league’s existence.
