2013 Centennial College Tournament Standouts
Here are some of the 2016 and 2017 players that caught our eye at this year’s Centennial Colts High School Tournament and how they did:
Class of 2016
Jade Codinera
Cordinera turned many heads at the Centennial College High School Tournament. Cordinera shot the three point shot very well and has found comfort in a pet move with the hesitation. She was able to get into the lane and give her post players open shots. Cordinera showed she will be ready to take over this team for the 2014 season. She understands that her responsibility is to get her post players easy touches, while sharing the ball with her other guards.
Meghan Chin
Chin showed her high motor and ability to finish with her good jumping ability. While there is room for improvement with her footwork and ball handling. She was able to lead her team to Consolation Game. She made timely shots and rebounded well.
Class of 2017
Aiden Rainford
Rainford showed that she was more than at home with players 4 years older than her throughout the tournament. She was that way because she displayed a positive, workman-like attitude. Relying on a solid foundation of skills, Rainford was not only a weapon pretty much anywhere in the offensive end, but a tricky defender to deal with in the paint. She demonstrated that she has a tremendous upside.
