Dornstauder Leads Golden Suns To Consecutive Mike Dea Titles

On December 1, 2012, the Dr Martin LeBoldus Golden Suns of Regina, Saskatchewan, won the 15th annual Mike Dea Classic Senior Girls Basketball Tournament in Edmonton, AB.

By defeating the Spruce Grove Saints 75-53 in the Saturday evening Final, the Leboldus squad completed a successful trek to Alberta, and became back-to-back tournament Champions

In the Championship game, Quinn Dornstauder (6’3″, C, 2013) scored 32 points and had 19 rebounds for the Golden Suns. The Canadian National Cadette Team player was instrumental in seeing her team score 70+ points in all four of their tournament wins, and was named the Tournament MVP.

The Mike Dea Basketball Tournament is hosted by the St Francis Xavier Rams.
