Gouchie-Provencher Signs NLI with Seawolves

Oksana Gouchie-Provencher (3.5-stars, 6’4″, F, Bill Crothers/Advantage Titans, 2016) of Unionville, ON has signed her National Letter of Intent to attend Stony Brook University in Long Island, NY.

“I feel amazing”, said Oksana when we caught up with her.

Gouchie-Provencher took a visit of the school and knew right then and there, that she had a good feeling about the campus she visited and that it was the one for her.

“I knew in going to Stony Brook, that it was the right place to be. I got there and it was just a good environment.”

Preparing to play in NCAA’s America East Conference, Gouchie-Provencher will have plenty of opportunity to show off her skill. She is the second ranked Post in the Class of 2016 and bring with her the ability to shoot from longer range. She can also get up and down the court very well, often getting in to plays earlier on in the shot clock, in order to be effective.

Those are just some of the skills that Seawolves fans can expect her to look to employ as soon as possible.

“I just want to go there and make an impact right away and just start off strong.”

Gouchie-Provencher has dubbed Stony Brook as one of the top medical schools in the USA and is looking forward to attending. She decided on the New York school as her ultimate choice, after also considering George Mason and Duquesne.
