Hill, Nieuwenhuizen Among Prep League’s Finest

Kate Hill (5’7″, G, 2016) of Toronto, ON was named a New Jersey’s Mid-Atlantic Prep League (MAPL) First Team All-Star.

Hill received the honour after leading her New Jersey prep school team, the Peddie Falcons, to a team best 12.1 PPG.

Hill’s impact on the team, along with fellow Canadian Michaela Nieuwenhuizen (6’3″, P, London, ON, 2015) were immediate, leading their team to a stellar 7-1 record to start the season. Their contributions continued throughout the season, eventually earning their school team a birth in the league Finals were they were eventually upended by Blair Academy.

Nieuwenhuizen earned an Honourable Mention for her season’s effort.

Both Canadians are in their first year at the Hightstown, NJ prep school.
