Jessica Richards Verbals Racers

On November 8, 2015 Jessica Richards (3-stars, 6’1″, F, Innisdale/Brampton Warriors) of Barrie, ON verbally committed to attend Murray State University in Murray, KY in 2016.

“I am beyond stoked and honoured to announce my commitment to Murray State University,” announced Richards via Twitter.

Richards has been steadily improving her ability to run the floor lately, helping her to contribute to the overall success of her team on both ends of the floor. She is surprisingly quick with the execution of her spin moves towards the basket and is more than comfortable shooting from the high Post or even beyond the arc. Murray State Racer fans can expect an incoming effective rebounder that isn’t afraid to get after loose balls.

Richards will play with the Racers in the Ohio Valley Conference after having her recruiting status change from a previous commitment to Robert Morris University.

Despite the change of direction in her university of choice, Richards seems ecstatic with her new decision and was thankful to all those who helped her get to this ultimate decision.

With the verbal commitment decision completed, Richards will now set her sites on her high school team’s playoff run, as the Innisdale Invaders make a push towards the Ontario high school championships (OFSAA).
