Kayla Minott (’15) Signed to Hofstra

Kayla Minott from Ottawa, ON has signed her intention to play with the Hofstra Pride of the Colonial Athletic Conference this Fall.

Fans at the university located in New York City can expect a Post with long limbs, that is able to get up and down the floor well.  She is not uncomfortable facing up or having to pull the trigger from 5 feet out.  She does a good job in knowing where to anticipate rebounds will go on either end of the floor, and will block a few shots, if not alter several more.

The commitment comes on the heels of her showing at the Deep South Tournament in Raleigh, NC, where she played with her CROWN Scout sponsored team, Ottawa Crown 17U.

Minott is the second player from her St Peter’s  high school that have earned a scholarship in the Class of 2015.  Fellow Post Veronika Lavergne will also be NCAA D1 bound, after she accepted her scholarship to attend the University at Albany.
