Agot Makeer (6’1”, G, 2025) of Thunder Bay, ON has announced that she will be transferring schools, opting to attend Montverde Academy this Fall.

Makeer who is Canada’s top prospects in the Class of 2025, has really been making a name for herself over the past 12-15 months or so. Her impacts on the EYBL circuit with Kia Nurse Elite, the OSBA Prep League with Crestwood and the Canadian National Women’s U17 team that participated at the FIBA World Cup in Mexico earlier this year have solidified her as not only a top prospect in Canada in her age bracket, but also the world.

Despite that stellar year last year and even narrowing her list of possible NCAA schools just a couple of months back, Makeer has opted to make the move on to Montverde Academy, located in Montverde, Florida (just outside of Orlando) in search of continuing to expand her game and the competition she faces.

Makeer joins Montverde, who last year graduated the 2023-2024 Max Prep National Player of the Year award winner, Senior Jaloni Cambridge who will be at Ohio State University this Fall.
