Browne (‘20) Commits To Hoosiers

Kiandra Browne (5-stars, 6’2″, F, Lincoln Academy) of Pointe Claire, QC has committed to attend Indiana University and play in the Big Ten conference this Fall.

Browne, who had just finished her first year at Lincoln Academy in North Carolina, has been a highly sought after Forward. Her appeal is attached to her style of play which is a bit of a throwback to Forwards that play physical in the low post with their back to the basket. In order to find her success, Browne does not shy away from mixing things up in the low post. She has been able to find success on both ends of the floor, bringing lots of energy and being very vocal and directing traffic. As an on floor leader, she plays with lots of passion and by the way she interacts with those on her squad, seems to be the consummate teammate.

Browne has been able to parlay her varying basketball experiences to her advantage. Starting off with her development catapulting when she began attending St Laurent to play with the Express in Montreal. From there, Browne has represented her province, helping them to several successes, including a gold medal at the U17 level, as well as also representing her country, as one of the youngest members of the silver medal winning Team Canada and at the U18 FIBA Americas Championship. Last summer Browne played AAU with A-Game Basketball.

Browne has reclassified from the Class of 2021 in order to accommodate this commitment.
